Hailey in her Kelty backpack ready for PaPa to hike her to the waterfall!
Trail head.
We hiked the handicap path this trip. It was a rubberized trail where we could visit the falls and then climb 400+ stairs to meet Nathan at the top.
Hailey catching a glimps of the waterfall.
...and a glimpse of PaPa.
Tallest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River.

Hailey hanging on, especially as we got close to the sound of rushing water!
Now it was time to climb 425 steps to meet Nathan.
Harrison did really well climbing well over 200 steps. He started to lock up as he was often looking straight down through the steps. PaPa and I noticed that he was slowing down and at one point he grabbed the handrail with both hands and his feet were stuck in one spot. At this point I scooped him up and carried him the rest of the way.
View of the mountains from the top of the falls.
