our 'lil library

Today was Harrison's first story time at out Library. He did ok....well he way crazy during the 2 book readings. The librarian was awesome, very patient. Harrison and his bud Roman were by far the youngest. Some library's have a beg. age of 2 or even 3 for story time, so I was not sure how things would go. She started out having them get the wiggles out, then they sang "head, shoulders, knees, and toes". This got some energy out of the older kids but Harrison seemed to continue running around while the books were read. It was hard to manage holding Hailey (she was fussy) while trying to kept Harrison from running through the children and climbing the bookshelves.
....
The librarian then led everyone to an undecorated Christmas tree. She handed out unbreakable ball ornaments. Harrison immediately threw his on the ground, that's what you do with balls, right?! When he saw the other kids hanging them he wanted to do the same. Then it was craft time---decorating your own Christmas tree!

Here Harrison went and grabbed a star ornament from the big tree to paste on his construction paper tree. Makes sense, but not allowed :) Soon he was handed star stickers and went to town sticking these on his tree.

Using the paint brush to spread the glue. So pretty - now we have a nice tree on hanging on the fridge for Daddy when he gets home.

Roman & Harrison RE-decorating the tree.

All done.
