The Christening of W. Harrison

The Christening of W. Harrison was today in Washington, D.C. It was an intimate ceremony in the Chapel of St. Ignatius of Loyola. This is the same Chapel that Harrison's Mom & Dad were married in on June 10th 2006, just 1 year and 3 months ago. Fr. Shea, who married Nathan and I also preformed the baptism. Father Shea mentioned how we asked the Lord to be faithful and fruitful to us. Harrison's presence in our lives shows us the perfect example of God's faith.

Harrison touching Fr. Shea at the beginning of the ceremony.

Harrison in the holy water. Fr. Shea was hesitant to fully submerse Harrison but this is what we had decided on. He didn't make a peep.

Harrison getting out of the holy water.

Sign of the cross in oil on his forehead. He added more to the top of his head, Harrison smelled wonderful this evening.

Harrison's first cake ever. There is a white cross under the roses that is hard to see. It was delicious. Thank you Harrison, for being a part of our lives.
