Looking for a job is so time consuming. It's especially tough when job posters call and think that they received your resume by mistake since you have a Virginia phone # listed!? And, what is the deal with "serious applicants only". Do job posters really think I would spend my time searching hours on end to apply for fun? Another set back "apply only if you are local". Well, I'll be local, but not for another 3 months, I'd like to have a job lined up before then.
Get this one..."Please no phone calls, emails, or walk-in's." WOW these people are extra friendly!
I decided with the growing traffic problem in Atlanta and Nathan already driving into the city that I should try and look for a job super close to our new home. If I have to take Harrison to daycare than it would be nice to stay nearby in case he gets sick, etc. There's just ONE problem there, the area surrounding our neighborhood is extremely industrial. I thought I had found a good one today, only to read: "Experience with Standup and Sitdown Forklifts. Must have good computer skills." I've got 1/2 of the required skill set. Next, "Experience using basic tools such as dial or digital calipers, hand tool, etc." hrmmm...a screw driver may be the extent of my expert hand tool skills!
The work environment was even posted for one postition: " The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. "
ELECTRICAL SHOCK I think I'll pass. Oh no!!! Wish me luck in my ongoing hunt.
